ProPak Asia 2009 Horizontal pillow-pack machine Pack-401 by Tevopharm for confectionery and food products
  • Output of up to 400 products per minute
  • Optional integration of Delta robots or other feeding modules

Bangkok, 17th June 2009 – Tevopharm and Doboy, two Bosch Packaging Technology companies, are extending their range of horizontal pillow-pack machines for the confectionery and food sectors by introducing the Pack-401.  This new machine is suitable for packaging products in trays, such as baked goods, stacked biscuits, crackers, confectionery items and frozen products.

The reliable cantilever design of feeder, longitudinal and transverse sealing allows for excellent overview during operation and facilitates access for cleaning.  This machine is also available as a stainless steel version for applications with special hygiene requirements such as frozen and chilled food products.  The Pack-401’s design enables it to operate as a standalone machine or to be integrated with other packaging systems such as Delta Robots, secondary packaging machines, product handling, and various infeed modules.

The Pack-401 is suitable for three-shift operation.  It achieves medium to high operating speeds for output levels of 20 to 400 products per minute or a film speed of up to 80 meters per minute.  Its design allows for flexible changeover to various packaging formats for product widths up to 450 milimeters or film widths up to 650 milimeters.  Given current market conditions, characterized by every shorter product life cycles, this flexibility rate is a crucial advantage.

“The horizontal pillow-pack machine Pack-401 is a good example of how Bosch Packaging Technology uses its global experience to develop innovative, flexible and customized packaging machines”, says Mathias Stamm,  General Manager (Sales and Service), Asia Pacific, Bosch Packaging Technology.
